Why did the customer contact us?

A homeowner reached out to us with plans to enhance the functionality of their crawlspace by adding a full-size door, making it easier to access and use the space for storage. Along with the door installation, they were interested in encapsulating the entire crawlspace to protect it from moisture, improve air quality, and create a cleaner, more usable environment under their home. They wanted a professional solution that would both increase accessibility and safeguard the space against common crawlspace issues like dampness and mold.

Solutions provided:

To meet the homeowner’s needs, we first installed a full perimeter drainage pipe system to effectively manage water around the crawlspace. We then set up a sump pump basin equipped with a reliable 1/3 HP sump pump and connected a discharge line to ensure efficient removal of any collected water. Next, we applied the Crawlspace Doctor Exclusive Encapsulation System to seal the entire crawlspace, providing a durable moisture barrier and protecting the space from dampness and mold. To maintain optimal humidity levels, we installed a high-capacity Sierra Watchdog NXT 120 dehumidifier. Finally, to maximize the crawlspace’s usability for storage, we built a sturdy wooden platform, giving the homeowner easy and organized access to this newly transformed space.
