A homeowner recently contacted us with concerns about noticeable sagging in the framing system of their home. They reported uneven floors which raised questions about the structural integrity of the building. After discussing the symptoms, it became clear that the sagging may be affecting both the comfort and safety of the living space. The homeowner reached out seeking a professional assessment to determine the extent of the issue and explore potential solutions to restore stability to the home’s structure.

Solutions provided:

To address the homeowner's concerns, we implemented a comprehensive solution to restore structural integrity and prevent future issues. First, we installed PowerPost Floor Supports to stabilize and lift the sagging areas of the framing system. To further reinforce the structure, a steel beam was added, providing long-term support and improved load distribution. In addition, we installed an R-5 Insulated Encapsulation System with a durable 23-mil floor liner to control moisture and enhance energy efficiency in the crawl space. As a final step, we performed soda blasting to remove debris, mold, and other contaminants from the framing and crawl space surfaces, ensuring a clean and healthy environment beneath the home. This multi-step approach provided lasting stability, protection, and peace of mind for the homeowner.
