Why did the customer contact us?

A homeowner recently contacted us requesting to have her crawl space encapsulated. She explained that she wanted to seal off the crawl space from moisture and outside air and was interested in a long-term solution rather than temporary fixes. After hearing about crawl space encapsulation and its benefits, she reached out to our team to inspect the area and provide a professional encapsulation plan for her home.

Solutions provided:

To address her request, we encapsulated the crawl space using an R-5 insulated encapsulation system with a durable 14-mil floor liner to separate the home from the damp ground and help improve energy efficiency. We then installed a Sierra Watchdog NXT 85-pint dehumidifier to control humidity levels and keep the air in the crawl space dry and stable. To finish the project, we custom-built a PVC crawlspace door, providing a tight, long-lasting seal at the entry point. Together, these steps created a cleaner, drier, and better-protected crawl space.
