A homeowner contacted us with a service request regarding a wall in their home that had begun to sag. They had noticed visible shifting and settling and were concerned it could lead to further structural issues if left unaddressed. The homeowner requested a professional assessment and a targeted solution to adjust the wall and stabilize the surrounding structure to prevent additional movement and damage.

Solutions provided:

To correct the sagging wall and stabilize the structure, we installed a steel beam along with two additional support beams directly beneath the dining room wall to properly distribute the load. PowerPost floor supports were added underneath the new beams to provide adjustable, long-term reinforcement and correct the settling that had caused the sagging. To address the underlying moisture contributing to the structural movement, we also installed a high-efficiency dehumidifier to regulate humidity levels and protect the framing system from further deterioration. This comprehensive solution ensured the wall was properly supported and helped maintain a dry, stable environment moving forward.
