A homeowner recently reached out to us after discovering significant issues in their crawlspace. During an inspection, we found clear evidence of standing water and active hydrostatic pressure. This excessive moisture had led to light to moderate fungal growth on the framing system.
To resolve the standing water and hydrostatic pressure issues, we implemented a targeted drainage system. This involved installing 20 feet of drain pipe within the crawlspace to collect incoming water. The collected water was then directed to a strategically placed sump basin, where a sump pump was installed. Finally, a discharge line was routed to carry the water away from the foundation and out of the crawlspace, ensuring the area remains dry and protected from future water intrusion.
