A homeowner contacted us after noticing persistent issues in their crawlspace, which showed clear signs of standing water and hydrostatic pressure. These conditions had led to light to moderate fungal growth on the framing system, raising concerns about potential structural damage and health risks. Seeking a professional solution to address the moisture problem and prevent further complications, the homeowner reached out for an evaluation and a plan to restore and protect their crawlspace.
To resolve the homeowner's crawlspace issues, our process began with insulation removal to clear out compromised materials and prepare the area. We then soda blasted to eliminate the fungal growth and sanitize the space. To prevent future water intrusion and control humidity, the entire crawlspace was encapsulated with a high-quality vapor barrier. A custom crawlspace door build was completed to ensure an airtight seal, further protecting the encapsulated environment. Finally, a high-capacity dehumidifier was installed to maintain optimal moisture levels, ensuring a dry, healthy, and protected crawlspace moving forward.
