To address the homeowner's water intrusion and moisture concerns, we implemented a comprehensive solution. First, we removed the damaged insulation that had absorbed excess moisture, preventing further mold and deterioration. To manage water effectively, we installed a drainage pipe system, a sump basin, and a sump pump, complete with a discharge line to redirect water safely away from the foundation. We encapsulated the crawlspace with a high-quality vapor barrier to seal out moisture and protect the space from future water intrusion. A high-capacity dehumidifier was installed to regulate humidity levels, ensuring a dry and healthy environment. Lastly, we custom-built a durable and airtight crawlspace door, further protecting the area from external elements.
