Job completed for Fixing Water Intrusion & Mold Before It Spreads!
Completion date: March 13, 2025
Location: Cullman, AL
Why did the customer contact us?
A homeowner reached out to us initially interested in having his crawlspace encapsulated to improve the space and protect his home. However, during our day of inspection, we discovered signs of water intrusion and unusually high humidity levels, along with light to moderate fungal growth on the crawlspace surfaces. Concerned about these additional issues, the homeowner requested a thorough assessment and a comprehensive solution to address the moisture problems and prevent further damage before proceeding with the encapsulation.
Solutions provided:
To fully encapsulate the homeowner’s crawlspace and address any existing issues, we began by removing debris and thoroughly cleaning the area. We applied a hydrogen peroxide treatment to sanitize the space and eliminate any microbial contaminants. Next, we installed an insulated encapsulation system featuring a durable 15 mil floor liner to seal the crawlspace and prevent moisture intrusion. To manage humidity levels, we added a high-efficiency dehumidifier. Additionally, we installed a drainage pipe, sump pump basin, and discharge line to effectively redirect any water away from the foundation. To complete the project, we custom-built a secure crawlspace door, ensuring a tight seal and easy access. This comprehensive approach provided the homeowner with a clean, dry, and well-protected crawlspace.
