A homeowner reached out to us after noticing dips in the floors throughout their home, which raised concerns about possible structural issues and moisture problems in the crawlspace. They were worried that the uneven flooring could be a sign of deeper damage and wanted to address the issue before it worsened. In addition to fixing the floor dips, the homeowner expressed interest in a full crawlspace encapsulation to improve air quality, energy efficiency, and protect the home from future moisture-related issues. They contacted our team seeking a comprehensive solution that would both stabilize their floors and create a healthier, more secure environment beneath their home.

Solutions provided:

To fully address the homeowner’s concerns about floor dips and moisture issues, we implemented a comprehensive crawlspace restoration and structural reinforcement solution. We began by applying a Pro Cleaner Hydrogen Peroxide Treatment to sanitize the area and eliminate any mold or microbial growth. Next, we installed a full perimeter drainage pipe system connected to a sump pump basin with a 1/3 HP sump pump and a properly routed discharge line to effectively manage water intrusion. For moisture control and energy efficiency, we installed our R-5 Insulated Encapsulation System with a durable 15-mil floor liner, along with a Sierra Watchdog NXT 85 Pint Dehumidifier to regulate humidity levels year-round. A custom-built PVC crawlspace door was added to ensure a secure and sealed entry point. To address the structural concerns and floor dips, we reinforced the existing framework by doubling or scabbing the floor joists, installed a heavy-duty steel beam, and added PowerPost Floor Supports to stabilize and level the floors above. This all-in-one solution restored the home’s structural integrity, improved indoor comfort, and protected the crawlspace for years to come.
