Why did the customer contact us?

A homeowner contacted us after noticing consistently high humidity readings on his thermostat, which raised concerns about excess moisture in his home. He suspected the source of the problem was his crawlspace, as he had also observed a damp, musty odor coming from that area. Understanding the risks that high humidity can pose to indoor air quality, comfort, and even structural integrity, he reached out to us seeking a long-term solution for moisture mitigation. His goal was to create a healthier, drier environment throughout his home by addressing the issue at its source.

Solutions provided:

To solve the homeowner’s humidity concerns, we installed a high-performance R-5 insulated encapsulation system designed to seal off the crawlspace from outside moisture and temperature fluctuations. This system included a durable 23 mil floor liner, providing a thick, tear-resistant barrier against ground moisture. To further regulate humidity levels, we installed the Sierra Watchdog NXT 120 dehumidifier, a powerful unit capable of maintaining optimal humidity in larger crawlspaces. Together, these components created a dry, controlled environment beneath the home, effectively reducing humidity readings throughout the living space and providing a long-term moisture mitigation solution.
