The homeowner contacted our team after noticing signs of excess moisture in their crawlspace, including a musty odor and damp insulation. Upon arrival, we found standing water present in the crawlspace, likely due to poor drainage and recent rainfall. The homeowner expressed urgency in resolving the problem to protect their home’s foundation and indoor air quality, and we discussed appropriate solutions to remove the water and prevent future intrusion.

To resolve the issue, our team implemented a comprehensive crawlspace restoration and protection system. We began with soda blasting to thoroughly clean and remove any mold, mildew, and contaminants from the affected surfaces. Next, we installed an R-5 insulated encapsulation system, complete with a durable 23 mil floor liner, to create a sealed barrier against moisture and improve energy efficiency. To maintain optimal humidity levels moving forward, we added a Sierra Watchdog NXT 85-pint dehumidifier, ensuring consistent moisture control within the space. Finally, we completed the project with a custom-built PVC crawlspace door, providing a secure, airtight entry point that further protects against external elements and enhances the overall effectiveness of the system.
