The homeowner reached out to our team after becoming concerned about excessive condensation in their crawlspace. They had noticed persistent dampness, a humid environment, and signs that moisture was beginning to affect the area beneath their home. Wanting to prevent further issues such as mold growth, wood rot, or poor air quality, they requested a professional estimate to assess the situation. After discussing their concerns, we scheduled an inspection to evaluate the extent of the condensation problem and determine the best solution to create a drier, healthier crawlspace environment.
To address the condensation issue, our team carried out a thorough crawlspace restoration and moisture control plan. We started with soda blasting to remove any existing mold, mildew, and buildup caused by the excessive humidity, leaving the surfaces clean and properly prepared. We then installed a Sierra Watchdog NXT 85-pint dehumidifier to actively regulate moisture levels and maintain a dry, controlled environment moving forward. Additionally, we replaced the HVAC register run to ensure proper airflow and eliminate any contribution to the condensation problem. To complete the solution, we custom-built and installed a durable PVC crawlspace door, creating a tighter seal that helps keep outside moisture from entering and supports long-term protection of the space.
